Joyce Crisp Ward

Joyce Crisp Ward, age 64 of Murphy, passed away Monday, September 17, 2018 at her home. Joyce was born November 17, 1953 in Bryson City, NC to the late Raymond Crisp and the late Virgie Hendrix Crisp. A member of the Little Brasstown Baptist Church, she was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Dale Ward, daughter, Stacy Ward, and brothers, Ray Crisp and Ron Crisp. Joyce worked as a child caregiver and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include: son, Tony (Christina) Ward, daughter, Stephanie (Travis) Cable, son, Adam (Wendy) Ward, brother, Alan Crisp, seven grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held Friday, September 21, 2018 at 2:00 pm at the Cochran Funeral Home in Murphy with Rev. Aud Brown officiating. Interment will follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Cochran Funeral Home on Friday, September 21, 2018 from 12-2 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Little Brasstown Baptist Church (6120 Harshaw Rd, Brasstown, NC 28902).
