Joseph Wiley Hodgson

Joseph Wiley Hodgson, age 78 of Hayesville, NC, passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2011 Murphy Medical Center Nursing Home. Mr. Hodgson was born September 23, 1932 Ash County, NC to the late Wiley and Myrtle Sheets Hodgson. He was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church and had worked as in the furniture manufacturing industry. He was preceded in death by daughter, Rebecca Hodgson, Brothers, Edward Hodgson and Harvey Hodgson.

Survivors include: wife, Elizabeth Anderson Hodgson, son, Billy Joe Hodgson, sister, Ella Roten, nieces, nephews and a host friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 26 at 11:00 AM from the Shiloh Baptist Church with Rev. Clark Moss officiating. Music will be provided the Cody Family. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers: Daniel Anderson, Brian Anderson, Nathan Ashley, Harold Anderson, Jason Shook and Jared Shook. Honorary pallbearers: Lee Anderson, George Anderson, Davis Calloway and Calvin Ashley
The family will receive friends at the church Friday evening 5 till 8 PM there will be no visitation at the funeral home.
