Joseph ?Kent? Henry, 74, of Morganton, GA, passed away on July 14, 2008.
Kent was born in Mineral Bluff, GA., and was a lifelong resident of Fannin County. After an honorable discharge and special commendation for good conduct from the Air Force, he was employed as a journeyman lineman. He traveled the Midwest and East as a ?highliner? and was most proud of running electricity across Niagra Falls which he visited and toured by helicopter two years ago. Most of his career was with R.H. Boloughny, Dillard Smith, and Tri-State Electric. Kent loved his family and friends as well as being an animal lover and avid gardener.
Kent was the loving Daddy of six children; Lisa (Bob) McCririe of MI., Stephen Kent Henry (deceased infant), Tina (Mickey) Hall of Ellijay, Vicki (Rusty) Kaylor of Dahlonega, Maria (Kerry) Champion of Canton, and Margaret (Shannon) Hinson of NC. He was predeceased by his father Clyde J. Henry and is survived by his mother, Mary Stephens Henry, sister, Jean Marie Zachary and brothers Douglas Andy Hyde and Ray William Henry, ten grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, aunts, and cousins.
Visitation will be Thursday, July 17th at Henry-Cochran Funeral Home in Blue Ridge from 6 to 8 P.M. Memorial services will take place at Toccoa Baptist Church cemetery on Friday, July 18th at 11:00 a.m.
