Johnny Ray Roberson

Mr. Johnny Ray Roberson, age 58 of Murphy, passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at the Murphy Medical Center. Mr. Roberson was born April 19, 1954 in Murphy, NC to the late Willard and Eula Mae Mashburn Roberson. He was Baptist in faith and he enjoyed fishing in his spare time. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by daughter, Tonya Conard.

Survivors include his loving wife, Peggy Roberson, brother, Willard (Barbara Ann ) Roberson Jr., brother, Marvin (Teresa) Roberson, sister, Linda Sue (Harvey) Jones, sister, Martha Roberson, grandson, Michael Conard, granddaughter, Ashley Conard, and granddaughter, Kaitlyn Conard. Also many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 9, 2013 at 2:00 pm at the Cochran Funeral Home with the Rev. Calvin Murphy officiating. Music provided by the Mashburn sisters. Interment will follow in the Mashburn family cemetery. Pallbearers include Henry Grant, Mark Grant, James Pettus, Donnie Roberson, Ronnie Roberson, and Travis Roberson. Honorary pallbearers are Sean Dry and Brian Roberson.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Friday, March 8, 2013 from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm.
