Johnny Edgar Elrod

Mr. Johnny Edgar Elrod, age 64 of Morganton, passed away Friday, January 1, 2016 at his home. Johnny was born November 30, 1951 in Cleveland, OH. He attended Boiling Gap Baptist Church and Sunrise Tabernacle. He was preceded in death by his parents, John E. Elrod and Nora Lee Elrod, one brother, Abraham Elrod and one sister, Frances Plush. In his spare time, Johnny enjoyed riding and caring for his horses and also raising chickens. He was loved by everyone and will be greatly missed.

Survivors include one son, Shawn Jeremy Cruse, sister, Vera Lavern "Cookie" Davidson, brothers, Paul Elrod, Jacob Elrod, Isaac Elrod, and Amos Elrod and several nieces and nephews.
