Johnnie "lester" Baker

Johnnie "Lester" Baker, age 97 of Blue Ridge, passed away Friday, June 8, 2007. Lester was born Thursday, December 9, 1909 in Gordon County, Ga. to the late Wash C. Baker and the late Carlee W. Baker. Mr. Baker was a boilermaker with Tennessee Copper Company a member of McCay Masonic Lodge #423 for 59 years, former member of Epworth First Baptist Church and currently a member of Ephesus Baptist Church of Winston, Ga., He was preceded in death by wife, Rada and grandson, Allen.

Survivors include: son & daughter-in-law, John A. & Ann Baker of Chattanooga, son & daughter-in-law, James C. & Helen Baker of Blue Ridge, son & daughter-in-law, Robert L. & Linda Baker of Villa Rica, son & daughter-in-law, Jerry L. Taffy Baker of Powder Springs, daughter & son-in-law, Joyce A. & Hoyt Marbutt of Villa Rica, nine grandchildren, Twenty four great grandchildren, brother, Wilton "Buck" Baker of Adairsville, sister, Nell Howard of Calhoun, several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 12, 2007 at 11:00AM from the Finch-Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with the Dr. Tom Jordan officiating. Interment will follow in Copper Ridge Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-8, Monday, June 11.
