John Richard "Dick" Lynn

Mr. John Richard Lynn (Dick), age 80 of Murphy, went home to glory on December 22, 2015. Dick was born May 1, 1935 in Ohio to the late John Lynn and the late Lucille Burt Lynn. A member of Antioch Baptist Church, he lived and had a business in Venice, FL for forty years before he and his wife moved to Murphy in 1989. They operated Moore House Ministry in Murphy for the last twenty years.

Dick loved his Lord, his family and the Ministry. His hobbies were deep sea fishing and witnessing for the Lord.

He is survived by his loving wife Joy Lynn of the home, son Richard Lynn of Sarasota, FL, son, Mike and wife Sue of the home, son, Steve and wife LeAnn of Connecticut, daughter, Ardith and husband Tim Wright of Myakka, FL, step-son, Scott Cotton of Atlanta, GA, step-son, Pastor Glen Cotton and wife Kathy of Delta Junction, AK, step-daughter, Kathi and husband Ted Martin, and step-daughter, Joan and husband Duane Curry, one sister, Judy and husband Jim Clark of Blairsville, GA, one brother, Butch and wife Martha Lynn of Venice, FL, several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 26, 2015 at 2:00 pm at the Antioch Baptist Church with the Pastor George Cline, Pastor Pat Garrett and Dr. Larry Payne officiating. Music provided by David Floyd, Sharon Foskey, Alan Flowers and the Antioch Church Choir. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jonathan Floyd, David Floyd, Gary Cook, Steve Gadreau, Tommy Shaffer, George Dockery and Duane Curry.

The family will receive friends at the Antioch Baptist Church on Saturday, December 26, 2015 from 1:30 pm - 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Moore House Ministry, 132 Cloe Moore Drive, Murphy NC 28906.
