John R. "Jack" Rogers, age 84 of Blairsville, Georgia, passed away Thursday, November 22, 2007 at Union General Hospital in Blairsville.
Mr. Rogers was born Saturday, May 12, 1923 in Union County, Georgia, to the late Roy and Ellen Mae Stephens Rogers. He was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church and a WWII U S Army Veteran. Mr. Rogers was preceded in death by wife, Anna Lou Butt Rogers and son, Ronnie Rogers.
Survivors include: daughter & son-in-law, Judy and Mike Rogers of Cartersville, GA, sister, Mary Roberts of Wachula, FL, grandsons, Brandon Rogers and Bradley Rogers, great-granddaughters, Kaylee Rogers and Ashlyn Grace Rogers.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 24, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. from the Chapel of Cochran Funeral Home with the Rev. B.A. Buchanan, and Rev. Ray Potts officiating. Music will be provided by The Faith Singers. Interment will follow in Union Memory Gardens Cemetery in Blairsville Serving as pallbearers are: Jeff Butt, James B. Butt, Robert Butt, Riley Stephens, Brandon Rogers, Bradley Rogers.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-9 p.m., Friday, November 23.
The Cochran Funeral Home of Blairsville, Georgia is in charge of arrangements.
