Joe Lynn Raper

Mr. Joe Lynn Raper, age 56 of Morganton, passed away Saturday, July 20, 2013 at his home. Joe was born October 14, 1956 in Morganton, GA to Lonnie Gene Raper and the late Radie Mae Payne Raper. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge 483 in Mineral Bluff and also the Shriners for 10 years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing in his spare time. He was preceded in death by mother, Radie Mae Payne and baby sister Austine Raper.

Survivors include: father, Lonnie Gene Raper, wife, Yvette Roper Raper, daughter, Brittany Raper, son, Jake Raper, sister, Wanda (Bill) Byers, brothers, Bobby Raper, Ronnie (Jennifer) Raper and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at 2:00 pm at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home with the Rev. Randy Hughes officiating. Music provided by Randy and Tammy Hughes. Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Ronnie Dilbeck officiating. Pallbearers include, Marcus, Morgan and Tate Moose, Andy Byers, B.J. Raper and Ray Long. Honorary pallbearer will be Cody Raper.

The family will receive friends at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home on Monday, July 22, 2013 from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm.
