Cochran Funeral Home of Blairsville announces the death of Mrs. Jo Anne Rhodes, age 74, of Blairsville, who passed away in Valley View Care Center in Andrews, North Carolina on Wednesday, March 26, 2014.
Mrs. Rhodes was born in Gillette, Florida on June 9, 1939, a daughter of the late Samuel Stewart and the late Maude Harrison Stewart. She worked in a law firm as a legal secretary. While living in Florida, she was a member of Bethany Baptist Church in Bethany, Florida. Mrs. Rhodes had been living in Blairsville since 1984, moving here from Englewood, Florida.
Mrs. Rhodes leaves behind to treasure her memory her husband, John, of Blairsville; son, Dr. John F. Rhodes, Jr., of Young Harris, Georgia; and son, Tod A. Rhodes of Blairsville; a granddaughter, Emma K. Rhodes; and a sister, Helen Dorsey, of Kingsport, Tennessee. Many other relatives and friends also survive.
No services have been planned at this time.
