JoAnn McClure

Mrs. JoAnn Underwood McClure, age 80, native and lifelong resident of Hiawassee, Georgia, passed away on Friday, July 16th, 2021 at her home.

Mrs. McClure was a daughter of the late Herschel Underwood and the late Gladys White Underwood. She was a homemaker and a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. Mrs. McClure will be remembered as a wonderful mother, loving grandmother and best friend. She had been preceded in death by her husband, Earl McClure.

Surviving family members include son and daughter-in-law, Earl and Dianna McClure, of Cleveland, Georgia; son, Roy McClure, of Clayton, Georgia; and daughter, Twana Franks; seven grandchildren: Jamie McClure, Nathan McClure, Skyler McClure, Eric McClure, Dwana Gibson, Cala Franks, and Jacob Moss; three great grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, July 17th, 2021, at 2:00 p.m., in the Chapel of Cochran Funeral Home in Hiawassee. Special music was presented by Willard McClure. The following gentlemen served as pallbearers: Jamie McClure, Nathan McClure, Kayden McClure, Shawn McClure, Jacob Moss, and Chip Hogsed. Burial was in Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery.
