Joan Williams Rogers

Mrs. Joan Williams Rogers, age 72 of Benton, TN, formerly of Blairsville, passed away Thursday, November 10, 2016 at her home. Mrs. Rogers was born August 26, 1944 in Red Bluff, CA to the late Harold and Elizabeth Krois Williams. Joan was preceded in death by her husband, Clark Rogers and a son, David Rogers.

Joan worked as a Beautician in Blairsville from 1980 until 1984 at the Crowning Glory Salon. She was a very loving and giving person, always looking out for others. She loved to crochet and she crocheted baby blankets, towels and other items which she gave away to family members and friends.

Survivors include: daughter, Jennifer Rogers of Eatonton, GA, daughter, Debbie (Dave) Jones of Dalton, GA, son, Raymond (Sarah) Rogers of Pensacola, FL, 10 grandchildren, Amy Grigsby, Tiffany Grigsby, Jon Evan Grigsby, Lawrence Dickey, Justin Dickey, Kimberly (Dru) Bullard, Kyle Dickey, Steven Emlet, Sarah Grace (Anthony) Moody, and Jason Rogers; and 3 great grandchildren, Charlotte Ann Smith, Kai Bullard, and Naomi Bullard.

Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at 2:00 pm at the Cochran Funeral Home & Crematory of Blairsville with Dave Jones officiating. Interment will follow in Union Memory Gardens Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Cochran Funeral Home & Crematory of Blairsville Tuesday, November 15, 2016, 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm.
