Mrs. Joan Tipton Nicholson, age 58, of Blue Ridge, GA passed away Saturday January 16, 2010 at Northside Cherokee Hospital in Canton.
Mrs. Nicholson was born on August 30, 1951 in Polk County, TN, to Edgar and Flora Tipton. She was a member of Mineral Bluff Baptist and worked in marketing for United Community Bank.. She was preceded in death by father, Edgar Tipton and father in law, Willie Nicholson.
Survivors include: husband, Dennis Nicholson, son, Kevin (Raven) Nicholson of Blue Ridge, daughter, Alicia (Derek) Stewart of Epworth, mother Flora Grice Tipton of Morganton, Brothers, Danny Tipton of Morganton, Ronnie (Lesa) Tipton of Suches and Keith Tipton of Morganton, grandchild, Cayman Nicholson, mother in law, Essie Nicholson of Blue Ridge.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at 2:00 PM from the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Randy Hughes officiating.
The family will receive friends at the Henry Cochran Funeral Home Monday from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
Arrangements were entrusted to the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home Blue Ridge.
