Cochran Funeral Home and Crematory of Blairsville announces the death of Mrs. Jo Jordan French, age 90, of Young Harris, Georgia.
Jo Jordan French, age 90, passed away March 17, 2019. She was born in Macon County, Alabama on December 1,1928, to Roy Jordan and Sue (Smith) Jordan. She attended Piedmont College in Demorest, Georgia and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree. Jo started her teaching career in Atlanta and later taught in Australia and Alaska. While in Alaska, she married John French, who owned a salmon cannery. Jo worked in the office taking care of the accounting. Jo was gifted in music and would entertain family and friends singing and playing piano. Jo is survived by her two sisters, Kathryn Lancaster and Sudie Brewer along with several nieces and nephews.
