Jimmy Ross Ledford

Jimmy Ross Ledford, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on July 3, 2024, at the age of 84. He was born on May 2, 1940, to Ezra and Juanita Ledford in a close-knit family in Blairsville, Georgia.

In his early years, Jimmy was known for his adventurous spirit and genuine kindness. He married the love of his life, Susan Ledford, and together they built a life centered around family and community. Jimmy was a dedicated father to his daughters Meechel, Melissa, and Melinda, who preceded him in death. His role as a father was marked by unwavering love and support for his children.

Jimmy found joy in his grandchildren, Lauren Wade and Cage Folds, who brought him immense pride and happiness in his later years. He cherished every moment spent with them, imparting wisdom and creating lasting memories.

Throughout his life, Jimmy maintained close bonds with his siblings: Patty Teague, Brenda Ledford, Don Ledford, Keith Ledford, and Gary Ledford. They shared a deep connection and supported each other through life's trials and triumphs.

Jimmy will be remembered for his gentle spirit, his passion for hunting, fishing, and his love for gardening. He touched the lives of many with his generosity and genuine interest in others. His absence leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew him.

The family invites friends and loved ones to celebrate Jimmy's life at a memorial service to be held on Friday at 12:00 pm at Cochran McDaniel Funeral Home of Blairsville. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. Rev. Gary Parris will officiate.  Burial will be in Ivy Log Cemetery in Blairsville.

Jimmy Ross Ledford's legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know him. May he rest in peace, reunited with his beloved wife and daughters in eternal happiness.
