Hopkins, Jimmy "Hoppy" F. passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 10th, 2011 at his residence. Hoppy was born January 28, 1937 to Earnest Hoke & Elva Hopkins. He is of Baptist faith & retired from Tri-State Electric after 35 years of service. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed quail hunting, loved baseball and had served as an Umpire and a Coach previously.

Mr. Hopkins is lovingly remembered by; wife, Mary Hopkins, son, Jimmy "Hoppy" Hopkins, Jr., granddaughter, Julie Watson, granddaughter, Katlin Hopkins, great grandson, Chance Watson, great granddaughter, Chesney Watson, great granddaughter, Chanley Watson, host of nieces & nephews, and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 12th from 6:00pm-9:00pm at the Henry Cochran Funeral Home. Services will be held on Sunday, February 13th at 2:00pm in the Henry Cochran Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Randy Hughes, Rev. Gary Parris & Rev. Doug Payne officiating. Music will be by Carolyn Nazariet, Lucy McKinney, Greg Brooks & Roger Watson. Serving as pallbearers are: Jim Robinson, Roger Beavers, Dennis Chapman, Tom Bryant, Ted Weaver, Paul Stepp. Honorary Pallbearers will be
Tommy Williams, T.J. Thompson, Jim Falls, Ed Cornett, Chad Queen, Jimmy Nichols, Alton Towe, Bill Queen, Bensey Turner, Lewis Stover, Billy Messer, Darrell Waldon, Mike Jacobs & Terry Arp. Interment will follow service in Chastain Memorial Park Cemetery.
