Mrs. Jewel Edna Williams, age 83, passed away Monday, May 3, 2010 in her home with her family by her side. Jewel was born in Bedford, IN, daughter of Ferdie Colvin and Lennie Mae Colvin. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Copperhill, and was employed as a teacher with the Fannin County Head Start. She was passed officer of the Beulah Chaper OES of the Eastern Star. Jewel was a loving and caring person who loved her family very much.
Jewel was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, J. E. Williams, Jr.
Jewel is survived by her son, John E. III Williams and Sandra, daughter, Joy Turner and David, daughter, Janis Martin; sister, Betty Nold, grandchildren, John Bryson Turner and Heather, Emily Bryant, Jill Pierce and Brian, Savannah Queen and David; great grandchildren, Erica Turner, Clayton Turner, Augusta Queen, Benjamin Queen, Hunter Pierce; and nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received Tuesday evening, May 4, 2010 from 6 to 9:00 pm at the at the Finch-Cochran Funeral Home, McCaysville, GA.
Services will be held Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at the First United Methodist Church of Copperhill, at 4:00 p.m. with Reverend Barry Sarver officiating. Music by the Church choir
Serving as pallbearers are: Ricky Callihan, Blake Callihan, George Dillard, Craig Quertermous, Randall Waldroup, and R. J. Waldroup.
Interment will follow in the Union Baptist Church Cemetery.
