Mrs. Jessie Lillian Jackson, age 100 of Blairsville, GA, passed away Thursday, December 6, 2007 at Union General Hospital.
Mrs. Jackson was born Sunday, December 16, 1906 in Union County, Georgia to the late Manley Paxton Hamby and the late Nora Allison Hamby. She was a member of Shady Grove Methodist Church for 88 years.
Survivors include: husband, Rouss Jackson of Blairsville, GA, son & daughter-in-law, Bill and Everee Hamby of Adairsville, GA, brothers, Hoyt Hamby and Loy Hamby of Blairsville, GA, grandson and wife, Alan and Lorie Hamby of Adarisville, GA, grandson and wife, Paxton and Debbie Hamby of Calhoun, GA, grandson and wife, Keith and Kim Hamby of Adairsville, GA, eight great grandchildren and host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, December 9, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. from the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bob Bone and Rev. Bill Honaker officiating. Music will be provided by Cheryl Williams. Interment will follow in Shady Grove Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are: Alan Hamby, Paxton Hamby, Keith Hamby, Buddy Rowan, Johnny Hamby, Roy Hamby and Harvey Jackson. Honorary pallbearers include: Dale Hamby, Greg Hamby and Glenn Hamby.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-9, Saturday, December 8.
