Jess David Hamby, age 30 of Murphy, passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2009 following an automobile accident. Jess was born Sunday, September 3, 1978 in Blairsville, Ga. He was a member of the Moccasin Creek Baptist Church and was employed at John C. Campbell Folk School .
Survivors include: parents, Howard "Bo" & Anna Loudermilk Hamby of Murphy, sister & brother in law, Jaimie & Brian Jones of Murphy.
Funeral services were held Saturday, May 9, 2009 at 8:00 PM from the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ronnie Palmer officiating. Interment followed in Bellview Community Cemetery Sunday Morning May 10, 2009, at 10:00 A.M.
