Mr. Jerome Francis Suvada, age 59, of Mineral Bluff, GA, a fourteen year resident of Fannin County, passed away Saturday, September 2, 2006 at his home. Mr. Suvada was born Monday, October 28, 1946 in Cook Co. IL to the late Charles Thomas Suvada and the late Lillian Marie Feigel Suvada. Mr. Suvada grew up in Miami. He served in the US Coast Guard in Alaska during the Vietnam era. He attended Arch Bishop Curley High School in Miami, the graduating Class of 1964. He attended Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, FL. He was a long time resident of Fort Myers, FL. Mr. Suvada was well known in Chevrolet and Corvette Circles, and a member of NCRS. He was a member of St. Catherines Catholic Church in Copperhill, TN and was a volunteer weather recorder for channel 3 in Chattanooga. He also recorded the weather for NOAA.
Survivors include: wife, Kathryn Hardaway Suvada, son & daughter-in-law, Michael Stephen & Nicolle Suvada of Plantation, Fla. daughter, Anne Michelle Suvada of Woodstock, brother & sister-in-law, Thomas Charles & Judith Suvada of Hot Springs, Ark., niece, Cindy Fowler, sister & brother-in-law, Joanne & Fred Scherma of Alpharetta.
A funeral Mass was held Wednesday, September 6, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. from the St. Catherine Catholic Church with the Father Paul Hostetler officiating. A Rosary service was held at the funeral home at 7:00 P.M. Tuesday evening. Burial at the Georgia National Cemetery
