Jeff E. Forrester, age 79 of McCaysville, passed away Friday, June 27, 2008 at his home. Jeff was born Sunday, August 19, 1928 in to the late Jeff E. Forrester, Sr. and the late Maude Sisson Forrester. He was a member of Kingtown Baptist church where he had served as a deacon for the past thirteen years. He had retired from Tenn. Chemical Company, was a US Army Veteran. He enjoyed carpenter work, hunting and fishing.
Survivors include: wife, Ruby N. Tanner Forrester, daughter & son-in-law, Nancy & Donnie Allen of McCaysville, daughter & son-in-law, Wanda & Van Carver of Ducktown, brother, Eugene Forrester of Copperhill, brother, J.B. Forrester of McCaysville, sister, Tina Gibbs of Marietta, Ga, granddaughter, Erica Stewart, great-granddaughter, Amberley Stewart, great-grandson, Caleb Stewart, great-granddaughter, Abby Stewart and precious little puppy, "Sophie".
Funeral services will be held Monday, June 30, 2008 at 11:00 AM from the Kingtown Baptist Church with the Reverend Terry Callihan and Reverend Eric Davenport officiating. Music will be by Ed Vest and Vicki Whittenbarger. The body will be instate at the church from 10:30 till 11:00 on Monday. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with military honors by the North Georgia Honor Guard. Serving as pallbearers are: Carl Curtis, Tommy Grindstaff, Max Sisson, Donnie Forrester, Tommy Cook and Mike Stiles. Honorary pallbearers include: "The Junkyard Gang", Josh Arp, B.J. Taylor, Semi Davenport, Lake Bell, Everett Hardman, Shorty Satterfield, Kenneth Sutton and Nathan Sutton.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3-7 PM Sunday, June 29.
