Mrs. Jeanette Ingram Cantrell, age 72 of Brasstown, passed away Monday October 28, 2013 at her home. Mrs. Cantrell was born October 19, 1941 to the late Fred Ingram and the late Stella Earley Ingram. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bradford Cantrell, brothers, William, Clifford and Cecil Ingram and sister, Joyce Ingram Mulkey.
Mrs. Cantrell was a lifelong resident of this area and a member of Little Brasstown Baptist Church. She loved to work in her garden growing beautiful flowers. She also loved to cook, but her most treasured time was spent with her grandchildren. Jeanette and her husband, Brad, owned and operated various stores over the years selling antiques, clothing and collectables.
Survivors include: daughter and son-in-law, Wendy and Randy Hughes of Candler, NC, grandson, Branden Hughes, and granddaughter, Brooke Hughes.
Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, November 2, 2013 at 3:00 pm at the Chapel of Cochran Funeral Home of Murphy with the Rev. Aud Brown officiating. Music will be provided by Mrs. Susie Graham. The following gentlemen have been selected to serve as pallbearers: Fred Cook, Chuck Cook, Melvin Cantrell, Edward Cantrell, John Chastain, and Kent Carringer. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Cochran Funeral Home of Murphy Saturday, November 2, 2013 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm.
