Janie Mull Blythe

The Cochran Funeral Home of Hiawassee announces funeral services for Ms. Janie Mull Blythe, age 72, who made her heavenly journey May 6, 2022.

Janie was born November 26, 1949 in Hiawassee, Georgia to the late Carl and Lucille Mull. She grew up in the Bell Creek community of Hiawassee. Janie was a kind, resilient, selfless soul who passionately loved her two girls. The devotion, and unconditional love she has had for her children and grandchildren is immense. Her resiliency and giving heart will always be admired, along with a witty humor that kept everyone who knew her laughing. Janie had a love for pictures and Bible scriptures. One of her favorite scriptures of great comfort was, "I thank my God upon every remembrance of you." Phillipians 1:3.

Janie will be dearly remembered by all who knew her, but greatly missed by her surviving daughters Leslie McCroskey (Stacy McCroskey), Candice Thompson (Chad Thompson), sister, Carol Kuykendall and six beautiful grandchildren, Tristin Dyer, Savanah Barrett (Adam Barrett), Jack McCroskey, Ava Thompson, Ellery Thompson, Coen Thompson. 

Funeral services will be Monday, May 9, 2022 at Cochran's Funeral Home in Hiawassee. Visitation will be held from 2:00-4:00 PM with a memorial service directly following. Larry Hedden and Tina Underwood will be officiating. Eulogy to be read by daughters, Candice Thompson and Leslie McCroskey. Music to be presented by Jane Henson and Tony and Lacie Ford. Interment to follow at Ledford Chapel Cemetery in Hayesville, North Carolina. The selected gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Chad Thompson, Stacy McCroskey, Tristin Dyer, Adam Barrett, Scott Dyer, David Ledford, and Bobby Ledford.
