Jane S. Wolfe, 75, passed away on Sunday, March 26, 2023 after a long battle with cancer.
She was a retired teacher from Peachtree Elementary School and loved everything to do with her students treating each one as her own.
Sharing information from her love of the outdoors, history, astronomy, gardening, her animals and visits to many areas of our country was important for her classroom studies. When told she had made a difference in lives of her students, she would often reply that they had made a great difference in hers.
She brought unique ideas to the classroom and was nominated for Teacher of the Year.
Jane was born in Miamisburg, Ohio to Robert and Jane Mease Snowden and brought her family to be close to them in Hayesville when her children were small. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Robert A. Snowden and a daughter, Heidi Wolfe Barnard.
She is survived by her daughter, Alexandria Strider, and her husband, Hal; two sons, Jack Kesling and Jason Wolfe; and their father Milton Wolfe. She also leaves behind grandchildren, Lillian Strider, Eric and Rachel Barnard along with her brothers Sam, Edward and Steve Snowden.
A celebration of her life will be held at a later date with relatives and friends.
