Cochran Funeral Home and Crematory of Blairsville announces the death of Mr. James Woodrow Shelton, age 62, of Blairsville, who passed away on Thursday, September 14, 2017.
Mr. Shelton was a native of Kentucky, and had moved to Blairsville from Indianapolis, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow and Elvia Shelton; and two sisters: Rowine Lamb and Mae Curry.
Surviving family members include his wife, Thelma; daughter and her husband, Debbie Whitney and Don Wasik, of Blairsville; brother and sister-in-law, Glyn and Carolyn Shelton, of Indianapolis; sisters: Dorothy Kamp, of Coal City, Indiana; sister and brother-in-law, Louise and Gerald Turner, of Big Laurel, Kentucky; sister and brother-in-law, Tressie and Jimmy Turner, of Harlan, Kentucky; and sister, Marjorie Vierling Henning, of Seymour, Indiana; and two grandchildren: Harli Whitney and Shelby Whitney.
The family will have a memorial service on September 30, 2017 in Indianapolis.
