James Wallace Pittman

James Wallace Pittman, age 92 of Mc Caysville, passed away Thursday, November 16, 2017, at his home. Mr. Pittman was born October 12, 1925, in McCaysville, GA to the late William Thomas Pittman and the late Nina Forrester Pittman. Mr. Pittman was a member of Calvary Church and retired after 37 years with A&P store in McCaysville. He enjoyed fishing, reading his Bible, sitting on his front porch, telling stories, and baking cakes.

Survivors include: wife of 67 years, Othella Pittman, daughters; Janet (Michael) Buchanan, Sandra Pittman, son; Joey (Teresa) Pittman, brothers; W.T. (Nelle) Pittman and Max (Geree) Pittman, sisters; Charlotte Brown and Doris Holloway, grandchildren; Jeremy (Amy) Buchanan, Jacob (Tiffany) Buchanan, Elijah (Tammy) Grindstaff, Jessica (Will) Thomas, Austin (Jaylynn) Pittman, great-grandchildren; Gabe, Emma, Jasmine, Maddie, Kevin, Jordan, Peyton, Serah, Lexi, and Raelynn, nieces and nephews also survive.

A gathering of family and friends will be: Saturday, November 18, 12:00 Noon till 2:00 PM at Finch-Cochran Funeral Home.
