James Taylor

James Wesley Taylor, age 76, of Morganton, GA, passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, in Blairsville, GA. James was born September 17, 1947, in Morganton, GA to Elza and Mary Taylor. 

James was preceded in death by his father, Elza Sherman Taylor; and mother, Helen Taylor. 

He is survived by his daughters, Jamie (Nathan) Long, Cammy Taylor, and Misty (Nick) Kelischek; son, Jim (Cindy) Taylor; brothers, Bart (Barbara) Taylor, Chuck (Robin) Taylor, and Bill (Vivian) Collins; grandchildren, Oliver Kelischek and Sarah Taylor; great-grandchild, Kyleigh Taylor; nieces, Emily Kuruc and Cree Taylor; and special friend, Joel Walker.

James helped establish the Civil Defense and Fannin County Volunteer Fire Department. 

Funeral Service; Thursday, January 4, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Henry-Cochran Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Hughes officiating. 

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Bill Daves, Joel Walker, Benny Dyer, Russell Daves, Ricky Daves, and Mitchell Tipton. 

Interment will follow at Morganton Baptist Church Cemetery in Morganton, GA. 

The family will receive friends at Henry-Cochran Funeral Home on Thursday, 4th of January, 2024, from 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM.
