James Guy Sanders Sr.

James Guy Sanders Sr., age 84, of Murphy, NC, passed away on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at Erlanger of Murphy. James was born May 18, 1939, in Ellenwood, GA to C.J. and Jessie Sanders.

 

James was preceded in death by his father, C.J. Sanders; mother, Jessie Calloway Sanders; sister, Linda Puckett; and grandson, Matthew Livecche.

 

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Sanders; son, James (Kay) Guy Sanders; daughters, Coleen (Mark) McBrayer and Stacy (Eric) Livecche; grandchildren, Jonathan Sanders, Taylor Bates, Shelby Sanders, Morgan Bates, Lukas Livecche, Ezra Livecche, and Jude Livecche; great-grandchildren, Hunter Burdette and Adelina Hidrogo; sisters, Betty Jean Bradley and Barbara (Wayne) Biles; brothers, Larry (Mary Ann) Sanders, Ronnie Sanders, and Kenny (Jane) Sanders; and several nieces and nephews.

 

Funeral Service, on Thursday, December 7, 2023, at 12:00 PM at Henry-Cochran Funeral Home.

 

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Lukas Livecche, Ezra Livecche, Jude Livecche, Jonathan Sanders, Jackie Reece, and Ricky Littles.

 

Interment will follow at Van Hook Cemetery in Mineral Bluff, GA.

 

The family will receive friends at Henry-Cochran Funeral Home on Thursday, 7th of December, 2023 from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM.
