James "jr" Allen

Mr. James Robert Allen, age 74 of Blue Ridge, GA, passed away Saturday, August 16, 2008 at 214 Ridge Top Circle. Mr. Allen was born Monday, August 6, 1934 in Morganton to the late Jim Allen and the late Cosby Leadford.

Survivors include: wife, Louise Allen of Blue Ridge, GA, daughter, Shirley Patterson of Blairsville, Ga., daughter, Debbie Patterson of Blairsville, Ga., son, Darrell Allen of Blairsville, Ga, son, Randy Allen of Ellijay, Ga, son, Marvin Patterson of Ellijay, Ga, daughter, Kathy Hughes of McCaysville, Ga, daughter, Bernice Young of Blue Ridge, Ga, son, Nelson Green of Ellijay, Ga, daughter, Rose Green of Blue Ridge, Ga, daughter, Judy Allen of Blue Ridge, GA, daughter & son-in-law, Helen and Jeff Fair of Blue Ridge, GA, brother and sister in-law, Ralph and Irene Allen of Morganton, GA, brother and sister in-law, Melvin and Rose Allen of Morganton, GA, brother and sister in-law, Robert and Wanda Allen of Morganton, GA, sister and brother in-law, Ruth and Derald Long of Atlanta, GA, sister, JoAnn Willis of Morganton, GA, Several grandchildren, Several Nieces and Nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday 8/18/08 at 2:00 P.M. from the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home with the Rev. Jack Buchanan officiating. North Georgia Honor Gaurd, and music provided by Tammy Kaylor and Russell Hughes. Interment will follow in Welcome Hill # 2 Baptist Church Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are: Howard "Pooch", Jimmy, Jerry, James, Arnold, Joey.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday; 8/17/08 from 6:00-9:00 P.M..
