James "Jim" Rowland Comfort, Sr. age 72, of Murphy, NC passed away January 19, 2010 at his residence.
Jim was born on March 6, 1937 in New Brunswick, NJ, to the late Percy and Anna Claire Comfort. He was a Surveyor and had lived in Tampa, FL before moving to Murphy in 1991.
Survivors include: wife, Josephine Comfort, son & daughter-in-law, James and Annette Comfort, Jr. of Wesley Chapel, FL, daughter & son-in-law, Karen & John McCann of Murphy, NC, grandchildren, Shane Comfort, Bradley Comfort, Kayla McCann, David McCann and Krystal McCann, sister, Rose Saunders of Alexander City, AL and brother, William Comfort of Cocoa Beach, FL.
A private memorial services will be held at a later date.
