James O'Neal White

Mr. James O'Neal White, age 80 of Morganton, passed away February 11, 2016 at his home. Mr. White was born May 20, 1935 in McCormick County, SC to the late Wilbur White and the late Alice Faulkner White. A member of Oak Grove Baptist Church, he was preceded in death by one son, Billy White, and wife, Audrey Allen White. O'Neal was a well known diesel mechanic. He worked on and ran big Machinery most of his life. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching Braves games and working outside.

Survivors include two sons, Jimmy and his wife Vonda White and Keith and his wife Becky White, one sister, Serither Thackston, four grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 13, 2016 at 2:00 pm at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home with the Rev. Lee Tanner officiating. Music will be provided by the Dixie Aires Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The gentleman serving as pallbearers will be James Fitts, Kyle White, Brandon Nicholson, T.R. Durkan, Lenny Waters, and George Parker.

The family will receive friends at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home, Friday, February 12, 2016, from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm.
