James Leonard Ashe, Jr., age 67 of Murphy, passed away November 5, 2013 at his residence. Mr. Ashe was born December 25, 1945 in Cherokee Co. NC, to the late Leonard Ashe, Sr. and the late Nettie Sue Dockery Ashe. He was a member of the Old Fashion Baptist Church.
Survivors include: wife, Cheryl Beavers Ashe, son, Mike Ellison, daughter, Connie Ashe Deece, sisters, Juanita Roper, Hazel Elkins, Rheta Crain & Kathleen Green, brothers, Lloyd Ashe & Hillard Ashe and 5 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 7, 2013, at 7:00 p.m. at the Cochran Funeral Home of Murphy with the Rev. Hoyt Brown officiating. Interment will take place on Friday, November 8, 2013 at 10:00 am in the Old Fashion Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013 at the Cochran Funeral Home of Murphy NC .
