James Leon Deal

Mr. James Leon Deal, better known as "Pee Wee" age 66, of Epworth, GA passed away December 21, 2015 at his home. Mr. Deal was born October 17, 1949 in Polk County, TN to the late Mr. Norman B. Deal and the late Mrs. Mary L. Ensley Deal. He was of the Baptist Faith. Pee Wee retired as a lab tech while employed by Lucent Technologies, then later was employed by the News Observer. He was in the U. S. Army serving in the Vietnam War as an SP4 from 1968 until 1971.

Survivors include: Wife Jewel Deal, son Brian Deal of Dahlonega,GA, daughter Stephenie & Dewayne (Scoot) Coggins of Murreyville ,GA, stepson Richy Golden of Savannah GA, sister Patricia Fair of McCaysville GA; brother Gary & Anita Deal of Clayton GA and sister Norma Jean Westwood. Four grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

A military memorial to be held at a later date at Mt. View cemetary. In lieu of flowers donate to the Wounded Warriors Project in his name.
