Cochran Funeral Home and Crematory of Blairsville announces funeral services for Mr. James Jason Seabolt, age 40, of Blairsville, who passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, May 4, 2017, in Piedmont Hospital.
Jason loved his animals, and to be in the pasture watching the babies play with one another. He enjoyed keeping horses, cows, and goats. At the time of his death, he had seventeen goats along with their babies. He liked to work outside, and was in a lawn care business with his brother-in-law and father. Jason enjoyed traveling on trips and going with his cousin, Cory, in the tractor trailer. H also loved to listen to music, especially Gospel. He was a wonderful son, brother, and friend. He truly loved all of his family and friends.
Mr. Seabolt was preceded in death by an infant brother, Jimmy Edgar Seabolt, Jr.; his paternal grandparents, Edgar and Kathleen Seabolt; and maternal grandparents, Junior and Maebelle McClure. He will be warmly remembered by all who knew him, but especially missed by his family: parents, Jimmy and Mary Sue Seabolt; a sister and brother-in-law, Patty and Randy Dyer; and many extended family members and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 7, 2017 from the Chapel of Cochran Funeral Home and Crematory, with Rev. Billy Nicholson officiating. A Eulogy will be given by Charles Neal. Special music will be presented by the Pine Top Quartet, and Matthew Anderson, Becky Flanagan, Nicki Gaddis, and Rebecca Seabolt. The following gentlemen have the honor of serving as pallbearers: Cory Seabolt, Ricky Seabolt, David Seabolt, Nathan Holbrooks, Larry Dyer, and Randy Dyer. Serving as honorary escort to the family will be Josh Berry and Bo Berry. Burial will be in Owltown Church of God Cemetery.
Visitation at the funeral home will be held on Friday evening, May 5, from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m.; and again on Saturday evening, May 6, from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m.
