James Edward Cantrell

Mr. James Edward Cantrell, age 77 of Mineral Bluff, passed away Sunday morning January 17, 2016 at his home. Mr. Cantrell was born January 14, 1939 in Ellijay, GA to the late Western M. Cantrell and the late Lena Mae Sellers Cantrell. James served his country enlisting in the Air Force and then joining the Military Police. He was an ace mechanic, he worked on cars, mowers and motorcycles. He also liked to ride motorcycles and fish in his spare time and enjoyed the companionship of his dogs. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Belle Brooks, Opal Cantrell and Ruby Parks and two brothers, TJ Cantrell and Sanford "Sam" Cantrell.

Survivors include one son, Dennis Eugene Cantrell, three sisters, Betty Fowler, Nellie Cantrell and Winnie Keener, two brothers, Arthur Cantrell and John Cantrell, many nieces and nephews and former wife, Betty Cantrell.
