Mr.James Douglas "Doug" Carr, age 60, of Blue Ridge, Georgia, passed away Saturday, August 25, 2007 at Union County Nursing Home. Doug was born Monday, May 26, 1947 in Fannin County, GA to the late John Wesley Carr, Sr and the late Virdie Payne Carr.
Survivors include: brother, John Wesley Carr, Jr. of Jasper, GA, sister, Jean Carr Jones of Canton, GA, sister, Sue Carr Griffith of Epworth, sister, Amelia Carr Craig of Douglasville, GA, sister, Annette Carr of Dallas, sister, Marijoyce Carr Porcelli of Belmont, NC, sister, Margaret Carr McClain of Adairsville, GA, sister, Edna Lea Carr Hedden of Balirsville, brother, Leon Carr of Mobile, GA, many other relatives.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 28, 2007 at 2:00 pm from the Mt. Liberty Baptist Church with the Reverend Ernest German officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are: Terry Hedden, David Craig, Jim McClain, Rob Porcelli, Larry Sosebe, and Derrick Payne.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-7 Sunday and 6 -9 Monday.
