James Corbitt Crawford

James Corbitt Crawford Jr., 85, of Riverdale, Georgia, passed away Saturday, July 15, 2023, at the VA Medical Center in Atlanta, Georgia.  James was born September 11, 1937, in Canton, NC to James and Jessie Heatherley Crawford.

James was preceded in death by father, James Crawford Sr; mother, Jessie Crawford; and son-in-law, Terry Pritchard.  He is survived by his wife of 63 years Jerrie Crawford; daughter Christy Crumbley, son Anthony Crawford; daughter Cindy Pritchard; son-in-law Marvin Crumbley; daughter-in-law Becky Crawford; grandchild, Holly Crawford-Lovett and husband Robert Lovett and grandchild Jacob Crawford.

James was of the Baptist faith and a member of Eastside Baptist Church in Riverdale, Georgia.  James loved hunting, fishing, watching his beloved Braves as well as football and trips with his family.  His favorite pastime included spending time at home with his beloved wife, being outdoors working in the backyard or cutting grass for various neighbors.  And let's not forget about a good card game or racking one up for a game of pool!

Funeral Service, on Saturday July 22, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Cochran Funeral Home & Crematory of Blairsville with Pastor Bill Schakat officiating.  The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Anothony Crawford, Marvin Crumbley, Robert Lovett, and Jacob Crawford. Interment will follow in the Confidence United Methodist Church Cemetery in Blairsville, Georgia.
