James Clifford Mashburn

March 7, 1937 — July 26, 2012

Mr. James Clifford Mashburn, age 75 of Blue Ridge, passed away July 26, 2012 at Union County Nursing Home. Mr. Mashburn was born March 7, 1937 in Shoal Creek, NC to the late Roy Mashburn and Iva Lee Arp Mashburn. Mashburn was a Veteran who served in the Army as a SP/4 at Fort Benning, Germany, & Washington before moving to Blue Ridge, GA. where he worked as a Chemical Leman Tank driver for 26 years, then later worked at Johnny's Food City until his health declined. He was a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, a Member of Dooly 367 Masonic Lodge F & AM and the International Brotherhood of Teamsters Union 528 Atlanta. he was preceded in death by his parents, and son, Michael Mashburn.

He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Tressie Mashburn, sister, Ruth Townsend, brother, Jr. Mashburn, brother, Robert Mashburn, brother, Clyde Mashburn, brother, Howard Mashburn, many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 28, 2012 at 2:00 pm at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home with the Rev. Glenn Collis, Rev. Billy Cantrelll officiating. Music provided by J.W. Patterson. Interment will follow in Mount Moriah Cemetery with military honors by the North Georgia Honor Guard and Masonic Rights by the Dooly Lodge F&AM #367. Pallbearers will be: Rev. Marvin Young, Rev. Joe Dan Wilkens, Jerry Williams, Walter Taylor, Randall Watkins, & Arthur Collins.

The family will receive friends at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home of Blue Ridge, Friday, July 27, 2012 from 5:00pm - 9:00pm.
