Mr. James Arlin Youngblood, age 77 of Young Harris, GA, passed away Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at Union County Nursing Home.
Mr. Youngblood was born Monday, August 3, 1931 in Towns County, GA to the late Arlin and Texie (Garrett) Youngblood. He was a member of Harvest Fellowship, Young Harris, a U.S. Airforce Korean War Veteran and was a crew chief on the F-86 Sabre. Mr. Youngblood was the owner and founder of Youngblood Trucking and Ready Mix.
Survivors include: wife, Ruby Youngblood of Young Harris, GA, daughter, Cheryl Brown of Blairsville, GA, son, Mitchell Youngblood of Young Harris, GA, son, Mikey Youngblood of Blairsville, GA, son, Mickey Youngblood of Young Harris, GA, grandson, Matthew Youngblood of Young Harris, GA, grandson, Jamie Brown of Young Harris, GA, granddaughter, Brittany Youngblood of Young Harris, GA, grandson, Cody Youngblood of Blairsville, GA, granddaughter, Victoria Youngblood of Blairsville, GA, great-granddaughter, Jaclyn Brown of Blairsville, GA.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 15, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. from the Cochran Funeral Home with the Rev. Johnny Barrett, Rev. Mike Youngblood officiating. Music will be provided by Glen and Sheila Eller, Rev. Johnny Barrett, Ray Cook and Victoria Youngblood. Interment will follow in Osborn Cemetery with Military Honors provided by the North GA Honor Guard. Pallbearers will be Matthew Youngblood, Cody Youngblood, Jamie Brown, Bobby Birch, Gene Youngblood, David Youngblood. Honorary pallbearers will be Matthew Youngblood, Steve Duvall, Ronnie Barrett.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12-2 P.M., Thursday, January 15.
