Jackie P. Hunter, Sr.

Jackie  Phil Hunter, Sr. age 73, of Hiawassee, passed away at his home on Wednesday, March 23, 2022.   Mr. Hunter was born November 19, 1948, in Hiawassee to the late Boyd Hunter and Corene Arrowood Hunter. He was a Pine Grove Baptist Church member in Hiawassee. Jackie also had a passion for and participated in local politics. He retired from nursing, and during his working career had served as a corrections officer in Winder, Ga, he also was a former EMT in Clayton. He was preceded in death by sisters Cheryl Eller and Hilda Joan Hunter.

Survivors include: wife, Felicia A Hunter, sons,William M Hunter, Jackie Phil Hunter, Jr., Jamie Roland Boyd Hunter, Adam Joshua Kyle Hunter, daughter, Julie Kaya Antionotte Hunter, Melba Kaye Hunter Blythe,  numerous grandchildren, and great-grandchildren also survive.

The family will receive friends at the Cochran Funeral Home of Hiawassee  Saturday, March 26, 2022, 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm.
