Jackalyn Gale Garrett

Cochran Funeral Home of Hiawassee announces funeral services for Miss Jackalyn Gale Garrett, age 59, who passed away on Friday October 13, 2017 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident on Hwy. 515 near Blairsville, Georgia.

Miss Garrett was a life long resident of Hiawassee, Ga. who loved to work in her flowers, was an avid reader who loved Christian Books and especially her Bible. She had willingly and faithfully taken care of her mother for many years until her mothers death. She was a member of Bell Scene Baptist Church for most of her life.

Surviving family members left to cherish her memory are her sister, Janice Cloer of Hayesville, N.C.; and nephew Stanley Cloer; and many other friends and aquaintances.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Kieffer and Nora Clea Garrett; and brother Buddy Garrett all of Hiawassee, Ga.

Funeral Services are scheduled for Thursday October 19, 2017 at 3:00 pm from the Chapel of Cochran Funeral Home of Hiawassee, with Rev. Denny Moss officiating. Special music will be provided by the Denny Moss Family. Chosen to serve as pallbearers are: Jeff Penland, Dale Penland, David Penland, Dwight Penland, Gene Penland, and Carroll Anderson. Interment will be in the Bethabara Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will meet with friends and from 6:00 till 8:00 pm at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Hiawassee on Wednesday October 18, 2017.

Flowers are accepted, but in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bethabara Baptist Church Cemetery at 1376 Bethabara Rd. Hayesville, N.C. 28904
