J. C. Bryant

J. C. Bryant, age 63 of Murphy, passed away Friday, June 22, 2007 at the Murphy Medical Center. J.C. was born Tuesday, November 9, 1943 in Cherokee County to the late Raymond Bryant and the late Lassie Olvey Bryant he was a life long resident of the area and of the Baptist Faith. He loved riding horses, the wagon train and spending time with his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by sister, Betty Hopkins.

Survivors include: wife, Wyvetta "Woppie" Nix, son & daughter-in-law, Jason & Jennifer Bryant of Murphy, sister & brother in law, Shirley & Bob Parker of Sylvia, sister, Bonnie Davis of Sylvia, brother & sister in law, Buford & Ellen Bryant of Murphy, brother & sister in law, Junior Bryant & Ruth Craig of Murphy, grandson, Dillon "Dillpickle" Bryant, granddaughter, Jadrienne "Sis" Bryant, granddaughter, Keshia "Little Bit" Frady, nieces & nephews.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 24, 2007 at 2:00PM from the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Scott Cole officiating. Music will be provided by The Howard's. Interment will follow in Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are: Danny Hopkins, Cleveland Davis, Clayton Davis, Mike Worley, John Horton and Derek Penland. Honorary pallbearers include: David Toney, Leon Anderson, Kenny Gregory and James Bryant.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12-2, Sunday, June 24.
