Iva Lee Gooch

Cochran Funeral Home of Blairsville announces the death and funeral services for Mrs. Iva Lee Gooch, age 82, of Dalton, Georgia, formerly of Suches, Georgia, who passed away on Monday, April 4th, 2022.

Mrs. Gooch was born in Blairsville, and was a daughter of the late Cliff Coker and the late Dimple Collins Coker. She was a member of Trackrock Baptist Church. Her husband, Zelmer Gooch, preceded her in death, as well as a sister, Mary Souther, and a brother, Eldon Coker.

Surviving family members include son and daughter-in-law, Alan and Kristie Gooch, of Cleveland, Georgia; daughter and son-in-law, Niki and Jerry Gerber, of Dalton, Georgia; and son, Kevin Gooch, of Cleveland, Georgia; sisters: Jeanette Hughes, Linda Sosebee, Shirley Winn, and Debbie Free; brothers: Harold Coker, Anthony Coker, Roger Coker, and Stanley Coker; four grandchildren: Kyle Gooch (Rheanna), Kaleb Gooch, Conner Haynes, and Kason Gooch; and two great grandchildren: Deacon Gooch, and Rayna Gooch.

Funeral services have been scheduled for Friday, April 8th, 2022, at 12 o'clock noon, to be held at Trackrock Baptist Church, with Rev. Wade Plott officiating. Special music will be presented by Ann Chapman and Beth Wiles. Burial will be in the church cemetery, with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Kyle Gooch, Kaleb Gooch, Kason Gooch, Conner Haynes, Marty Hughes, and Tracy Coker.

Visitation will be held at Trackrock Baptist Church, on the day of the funeral service, starting at 10:00 a.m.
