Mrs. Irene H. Kelley, age 93 of Blairsville, GA, passed away Tuesday, June 19, 2007 at Union County Nursing Home.
Mrs. Kelley was born Sunday, December 28, 1913 in Union County, GA to the late Frank Hughes and the late Ada Ensley Hughes. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Union County and was preceded in death by husband, Robert "Bob" Kelley, grandfather, Rev. Thomas Coke Hughes, five daughters, one son and one brother.
Survivors include: daughter & son-in-law, Maxine and Jack Drake of Blairsville, GA, son & daughter-in-law, James and Mary Ann Kelley of Actworth, GA, son & daughter-in-law, Jack and Betty Kelley of Blairsville, GA, daughter & son-in-law, Martha and James Melton of Hiawassee, GA, daughter & son-in-law, Joyce and Ron Byers of Blairsville, GA, son & daughter-in-law, Bill and Deborah Kelley of Blairsville, GA, fifteen grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 21, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. from the Cochran Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Passmore and Rev. Charles Black officiating. Music will be provided by Danita Kennedy. Interment will follow in Blairsville City Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are: Phil Kelley, Justin Byers, Jim Melton, Brock Kelley, Chase Kelley and Robby Kelley.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-9, Wednesday, June 20..
