Hubert Olan Gibson

Hubert Olan Gibson, age 92, of Blue Ridge, GA, passed away Saturday, January 14, 2023, in Blue Ridge, GA. Hubert was born May 16, 1930, in Dallas, TX to the late Charles Gibson and the late Edna Gibson. He was a member of Blue Ridge First Baptist Church. Hugh and his wife Ann celebrated their 72nd anniversary on December 15, 2022. Hugh loved playing sports, loved his two boys Steve and Kevin and all the grandchildren, nieces, nephews and young ones in the family, and of course his beloved Georgia Bulldogs!

Hubert was preceded in death by his grandchild, Justin Gibson; parents, Charles and Edna Gibson; daughter-in-law, Jeanne Gibson; father-in-law, Emory Sherrard; mother-in-law, Iris Sherrard; and ten of his siblings. 

He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Ann Gibson; sons, Steve Gibson and Kevin Gibson; grandchildren, Dan Gibson and J. J. Dell Torre; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Funeral Service: Thursday, January 26, 2023, at 2:00 pm from the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home with Pastor Rusty Thomas officiating. The family will receive friends at Henry-Cochran funeral Home Thursday, January 26, 2023, from 12:00 pm -2:00 pm. Interment will follow in the Chastain Memorial Park Cemetery.
