Howard Walters

Howard Walters was born into the eternal heavens on November 17, 2007. He was 82.

Howard is survived by his daughter Wendy, son-in-law Chuck, and grandchildren: Preston, Coral and Marina, all of Acworth, Georgia; his son, John, daughter-in-law, Jill, and grandchildren: Steven and Brian, of Key Largo, Florida.

Howard was a Navy veteran serving on the USS Midway in the Pacific during World War II and retired from the boat business. His ashes will join his wife's ashes just offshore in Key Largo and a celebration will be held in Blairsville in January for his friends. His love of boats followed him to his last days, having him just finish rebuilding his dream of his wooded 1956 Century Boat, the "Wendy Jo III."
