Howard Alan Johnson

Cochran Funeral Home of Murphy announces funeral services for Mr. Howard Alan Johnson, age 59, of Blairsville, Georgia, who passed away Friday, February 14, 2014, at the Union County Nursing Home. Alan was born on July 16, 1954 to Howard Willard Johnson and Mary Couch Johnson. He was preceded in death by his father and brother Gary Willard Johnson. He enjoyed watching Nascar and he loved Harley Davidson motorcycles.

He is survived by his mother, Mary Alene Johnson, and sister-in-law Mandy Johnson, niece Elizabeth Johnson and great-niece Celia Stamps. Also many friends.

Funeral services will be Sunday, February 16, 2014 at 3 pm at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Hoyt Brown and Reverend Calvin Murphy officiating. Burial will be in Sunny Point Baptist Church Cemetery beside his brother Gary. The family will receive friends from 1-3 pm at the Cochran Funeral Home of Murphy. Pallbearers include David Burrell, Jackie Burrell, Johnny Burrell, Ed Payne, Terry Jones, and Junior Bridges. Honorary Pallbearers are: Doug Davenport, and Christian Motorcycle Association.
