Mr. Herman Daniel Pittman, age 85, of Mineral Bluff, GA passed away Sunday Sept. 20, 2009 at his home.
Mr. Pittman was born on September 20, 1924 in Fannin, GA, to the late German and Evelyn Panter Pittman. He was was preceded in death by a daughter, Rebecca Voyles, Brothers, Norman and Wilburn Pittman, sisters, Marcella Allen and Helen Crawford.
Survivors include: wife, Dorothy Pittman of the home; children, Donald & Melissa Pittman, Evelyn & Randy Cartwright and Loveta & Arvil Silvers all of Mineral Bluff, GA; son-in-law, Glen Voyles of Rocky Face, GA; sisters - Pearl Crane of Cleveland, GA, Marie Morris of Marietta, GA and Peggy Pittman of Dawsonville, GA; 7 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wed., Sept. 23, 2009 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Henry-Cochran Funeral Home with Rev. Edward Godfrey officiataing. Pallbearers will be Michael Pittman, Junior Pittman, Dean Fritz, Tim Swinney, Arvil Silvers, Collins Young. Burial will follow in Hot House Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will recive friends at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home Tuesday from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
