Hazel Walker, age 87 of Blue Ridge, Georgia, passed away Thursday, February 1, 2018 at Fannin Regional Hospital. She was born in Fannin County, June 4, 1930 to J. T. and Essie Mosley O'Neal. After living in Michigan for many years, she retired as a school bus driver for Imlay City Community Schools and returned to Blue Ridge where she attended Temple Baptist Church and was an avid bingo participant at the Kiwanis Club.
She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings Joe Kemp, Sue Dockery, Kay Stewart, Windsor, Orlo, and Wilma Bowell and by her daughter, Gail Walker.
Survivors are son, Itura Walker of Madison Heights, Michigan and Ike (Lynda) Walker of Blue Ridge, granddaughter Dana Walker, grandson Justin (Robin) Walker and great-grandson Michael Walker. Also surviving are sisters Odra Miller, Jan Meeks and Debbie (James) Davenport and brothers Carrol (Martha), Irby (Ann) and Glenn (Boo) as well as many nephews and nieces.
A memorial service was held Wednesday, February 7, at Temple Baptist Church in Blue Ridge.
