Hattie Taylor

Mrs. Hattie Taylor, age 95 of Hiawassee, GA, passed away Wednesday, June 20, 2007 at her home. Mrs. Taylor was born Thursday, August 17, 1911 in Habersham Co., GA to the late Agustus and Elizabeth Benefield Kastner. She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church, She was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Taylor.

Survivors include: son & daughter-in-law, Edgar and Betty Taylor of Blairsville, GA, daughter, Beatrice Pyles of Macon, Ga, sister, Oma Kastner of Clarkesville, GA, brother, Harold Kastner of Clarkesville, GA, grandchildren, Jeff Pyles, Debra Brown, and Lisa Colwell, four great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Friday, June 22, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. from the Chapel of Cochran Funeral Home with the Rev. Harold Ledford officiating. Music will be provided by Stanley and Karen Wood. Pallbearers were R. B. Brown, Ryan Brown, Ernest Noblet, Nathan Noblet, Jeff Pyles and Taylor Pyles. Interment will be in Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 7 until 9 p.m.

The Cochran Funeral Home of Hiawassee, Georgia is in charge of arrangements.
